Now that you have some listening skills, you are ready to work toward truly becoming a team. Together you'll prepare for common reintegration challenges so you can more easily adapt as a family when things get tough.
After working through the tough conversations in the last step, you'll createa plan for family visits and support so you don't have to do everything alone and can repair when things don't go as planned. This way, you'll keep a healthy family dynamic and avoid burnout.
Now that you are on the same page as a couple, we'll move onto bringing your kids into your reintegration plan. You'll learn how to understand and support them so you can encourage healthy communication and coping mechanisms.
In this step, you'll create a budget plan for post-deployment life so you can have smart money management strategies that keep you on the same page as a couple and avoid the dangers that being on separate pages when it comes to money can bring.
No matter how well prepared you are deployment and reintegration can be tough. In this final step, you'll learn how to identify signs of combat-related stress adn PTSD and have strategies in place for exactly how you will seek help if needed.
Throughout the process, you will fill out the reintegration plan you printed out on the last page.
